Knowledge is power. That’s why I’m bringing you my three favorite digital resources about low vision in this series. I discussed AFB and SeroTalk Podcast Network already. There are many sources of information out there, but I narrowed it down for my third low vision digital resource:
Council of Citizens with Low Vision International (CCLVI).
Website: http://www.cclvi.org/index.html
CCLVI is an advocacy organization offering many services for those with low vision, including a magazine called VISION ACCESS, a monthly podcast called Let’s Talk Low Vision with Dr. Bill, outreach programs, scholarships, and an email list that you can subscribe to for announcements and discussion about things affecting those with low vision.
The organization is unique because it serves the low vision community rather than all vision impairments like the AFB does. Sometimes, I want only the low vision perspective, and CCLVI covers it well.
Unfortunately, low vision is not something that will be going away anytime soon. With great resources like the ones I mentioned in this series, living with low vision can be easier.
That wraps up my discussion on digital resources. To see more of my tips on dealing with low vision, just click Tips under the Categories sidebar.
