How do you go about finding podcasts? I’ve searched through iTunes a few times and it seemed like I would need to know what I was looking for to find anything interesting. I suppose I could Google search Serial now, and go from there….
Initially I listened to podcasts of radio shows (Fresh Air, This American Life, 60 Minutes) and sometimes a guest would mention another podcast and I’d check it out. I searched google a few times for literary and cooking podcasts. Also, I scan the Top Charts section on my purple icon podcasts app of my iPad. In there I can browse by subject and discover more to try. Finally, I use the Search section of the podcasts app with a name, like Joan Rivers, to see if the person was a guest anywhere and sometimes I end up liking the format or host of a random show and I start to subscribe.
Interesting. Thank you! I’ll have to look into those. It would be nice to have something to listen to when I’m cleaning or sewing.
