The freezing temperatures remind me January is here. Welcome to 2016, welcome back to Adventures in Low Vision, and grab a sweater. In the meantime, perhaps you’d like to visit Stephanae McCoy’s fantastic blog Bold Blind Beauty. You may remember I featured Stephanae in a Quick Q&A last year. She asked me to write an essay for her monthly “Women on the Move” series and I was honored to share my story. My piece is live, check it out here. Let me know what you think about it.

Well as I go about endless to-do’s and try to get organized in order to make the most of a fresh start, I wonder about you. How are you starting the year? What resolutions or goals did you make? How do you stay motivated? What won’t you be doing this year? Tell me about it.

Loved it. You obviously worked hard and it shows. I’m finding it hard to make many plans for the year, but that may just be a January thing. It’s my birthday and my blog anniversary next month. I’m sure I will be able to think long term again.

    1. Thanks Kerry! The bleaker January is, the harder it is to stay motivated. It sounds like February is your month to shine.

You never cease to amaze me little sis. The grace you have exhibited while you transitioned from able vision to low vision is astounding. I am so proud of you and will continue to be. I love you. XO

  4. All best wishes, Susan, to you and yours for 2016. Good question ‘what won’t you be doing? ‘ this year I hope I won’t let the horrible weather keep me at home. I enjoy your blogs about being out and about and will try harder, but it can be difficult to motivate yourself when you don’t drive. ‘Keep moving’ will be my motto!

    1. Sounds good to me, Bridget.Let’s hope for a short, dry winter.
