Listen with the Lights Off

Photo shows A standing lady weraing a navy puffer vest and a blue and pink flannel shirt listens to a podcast on her phone which is peaking out of her pocket. She holds her white can in her left hand. Cinnamon sticks dissolve into apple cider. Fallen leaves crunch underfoot. Bright orange pumpkins appear on porches. October arrived. With it comes an annual event close to my retinas: Blindness Awareness Month.

In celebration, I created a podcast playlist on Medium for the Bello Collective, “Listen with the Lights Off: 19 Podcasts about Blindness.” Settle in and check out my choices. Share the playlist with people who have asked about blindness. Share it with people who don’t ask. It doesn’t matter if you share it on Facebook, at work, or on the sidelines at the soccer game; let’s get the word out. This month, save the fear for horror movies. Spread some positive blindness awareness around.

Do you have a favorite episode? What did you learn about blindness? Where and when do you listen to podcasts? Tell me about it.

Love this. Big into podcasts right now, as I have just completed my second, in what I hope will be a great number of episodes of Ketchup On Pancakes. But now, check these out. Seriously. I’m going to.

I love listening to podcasts as I tidy up the house each evening, and I’m so excited to check out your suggestions, Susan. I currently listen to Brooke Castillo “The Life Coach” podcast and “The Social Work” podcast the most. I also like some of the meditation podcasts.
