Four years ago, I started writing Adventures in Low Vision. I didn’t know many people with visual impairments, and I wanted to live better with low vision. Month after month, year after year, I learned ways of living with blindness as well as experienced the common humanity that binds us together. Living with a disability can be hard, it can be interesting, it can be fun. Thanks for sharing the journey with me, and here’s to more adventures to come.
In celebration, I’m serving up four favorite posts for you:
- Sights Unseen. We all worry about what others think, but reassurance awaits at the bus stop.
- A Change in Altitude. One should never take oneself too seriously.
- Nothing but Net. How it’s not what you do with family, but how they make you feel. And a pretty awesome basketball cake, too.
- Halloween Candy in Low Vision. Does your favorite treat impress these eyes?
There are so many more posts in the archives that make me laugh, cry, and or shake my head. If you want to read more, check out the Categories section in the footer of the blog. There you’ll find posts featuring Book, TV, and Movie reviews, Experiences in life with low vision, and Tips about technology and ways to do more when you live with vision loss. Thanks to all of you who read, comment, and share Adventures in Low Vision. You’re making life more meaningful,
~Susan
