Listing Towards Home

Receipts piled up on top of the icebox. Contractor business cards kept them company. Marketing literature on various services rounded out the collection, Things have been busy at our place in Mayberry. They always are when you decide to sell your house.

Since my office closed, Stockton and I, in proper millennial fashion, downsized many parts of our financial life. Reconsidering the place we live was inevitable. Deciding to sell was much easier than preparing a house for market.

“I feel like I’m getting dumber.” I said to one of my family members after forgetting to do something, again. Endless to-do lists paired with the disorientation of packing up belongings and schedule changes have caused stress and led to foggy brain. And, especially the last few months, Stockton has had so much on his plate, he could use two pairs of buffet pants.

We will get through this transition. Being closer to family and friends will make it all worth it. But until then, I might not be posting as frequently. Eventually my creativity will be found again, exactly where I left it.

Have you sold a home or moved recently? Tell me about it.

I identify with this. Blogging, though fulfilling, is left until everything home related is sorted out and in place. Having low vision makes changes very stressful. May you have favour on your move. We look forward to your next blog in your new territory.

  2. Good luck with your move . It will be so therapeutic to get rid of all that accumulated junk and lovely to be nearer family and friends.

    1. Oh yes, purging unnecessary stuff is always great! Thanks, Bridget. Thinking about you.

Moving is one of life’s big stressors. It is wonderful to pack up and rediscover things you haven’t thought about or used in years. I wish you well on this new journey. May you find a home that delights you. 😀

    1. Thanks for your kindness, Casee
